Kyomya
Kyomya village is located approximately 12 kms from Jinja town. Jinjais the second largest town in Uganda and is the town where electricityis generated. Kyomya is approximately 120kms from Kampala ;the capitalof Uganda.

Kyomya village has a population of about 24,000 people with 56%being women and 44% men.60% of the population are children.The Villageis part of Buwagi Parish that is located in Budondo subcounty of Kagomacounty.

They want to start a sponsorship program to support the neediest orphans with school fees, books and uniforms.

Background and current status:

The local community is seeking remedies to solve the plight of the orphans whose parents died of HIV/AIDS.

They lack access to basic education cause they lack the necessaryscholastic materials, school fees and even an accessible school.

The schools around are makeshift structures that when it rains they don't attend school.
